Karissa Cottom is Senior Attorney at QEP Resources, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. QEP is a leading independent crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company focused in the United States.
In her current role, Karissa manages litigation for the Southern Region and advises on purchase and sales, land, operational and environmental issues. Previously, she was a shareholder of Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable, Golden & Nelson, P.C. where she represented public and private companies nationwide in litigation, arbitration and appeals with a focus on Oil, Gas and Energy law and chaired the firm’s Recruitment and Diversity Committee for 3 years. While at Hall Estill, Karissa obtained an Individual AV Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating™ and was named to Benchmark’s Top 250 Women in Litigation and Local Future Star lists and as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
Karissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Baylor University Law School. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Youth Services of Tulsa as Vice President, Development.
